Update history of the VK App Widget module for Joomla

This is the official changelog for the VK App Widget by IWS. We regularly improve compatibility, security, and usability. All updates are tested and fully documented.

  • Module performance has been optimized.
  • The Open API script domain has been changed from vk.com to vk.ru.
  • A "Site ID" field has been added to the module settings to enable VK Open API functionality. You must enter your website's ID from the VK Open API platform in this field. For more details, please refer to the module documentation.
  • Improved validation for the App ID field in the module settings.
  • Added a "CSS & JS" tab to the module parameters. You can now add custom CSS styles and JavaScript code directly from the Joomla administration panel. The custom code will be correctly loaded on all pages where the VK App Widget module is active.
  • Reworked the Open API script loading process in the Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 versions.
  • Improved PHP 8.0+ compatibility for the Joomla 5 version.
