Description & Purpose
Module "VK Community Widget" for Joomla - extension for Joomla 3, Joomla 4, Joomla 5 and Joomla 6, which will display information about your group from the VK social network on your website. The extension is simple, so just install and configure it; no programming skills are required. This module adds the ability to subscribe to your group's page, display the latest posts, and display your page's members on the social network. Nowadays, a website cannot survive without social networks. By adding the module and displaying your group's information, you can attract website visitors to your public page. In other words, your website will help you recruit members to your VK social network group.
The module supports all the features of the VK social network public API when working with the community widget. In the module, you can choose whether to connect to the VK social network open API and enter the ID of the community whose information you want to display in the widget. By the way, there are three modes available for displaying community data. Let's take a look at each option below.
- Members - the name, cover with logo, number of participants, list of participant photos, and interaction button will be displayed.
- News - the logo, cover with the name, number of participants, a block with a list of the latest posts in the group, with the ability to scroll vertically, and an interaction button will be displayed.
- Name only - a simplified version of the block will be displayed. In this mode, the cover, logo with name, number of members in the group, and interaction button will be displayed.
In the extension, you can set the width of the block in pixels, but if you don't want to fix the width, the automatic width will be set to the entire width of the parent block. In addition to all the available options, there are three important options that allow you to set the background color, text color, and button color in the widget. The extensive capabilities of the VK social network's open API will help you set up a convenient and attractive widget with information about your community on your website. A customized information block will help attract the attention of website visitors and invite them to join your community.
Key Module Features
The module generates code for displaying interface elements with the community based on the public API of the VK social network and supports all the capabilities of the open API.
In the widget, you can select the data display option. There are three options in the module. The first displays community members, the second displays the latest community posts, and the third option simply displays the community name.
The interface element supports widget width configuration. Use automatic width or specify a fixed width. In the latest entries display mode, you can configure the widget height.
The module supports the ability to customize the color of the widget with communities. This feature allows you to customize the widget to match the color of your website. Set the color of the button, text, and background of the widget. By default, the color scheme matches the design of the VK social network.
You can enable group cover display and advanced mode in News view mode, which adds a community avatar and Like buttons.
The module supports all Joomla module features. Automatic installation, automatic updates, and module cloning can be done with just a few clicks within a single site.
The module is so easy to use that it does not require any programming skills. You will need to enter your VK social network page ID, select the desired display option, and the module will do the rest.
