Yandex Metrika Registration
The registration process and all useful information regarding website registration in Yandex Metrika are described in the official Yandex documentation, available at the following link: https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/creating-counter.html.
Adding the Visible Counter (Informer)
Yandex Metrika allows you to publish an informer with analytical data on your website pages. To do this, you need to configure Yandex Metrika and create a module on your site.
Enabling the informer in Yandex Metrika
Go to the integration code settings for your website's counter. To do this, click on "Settings" -> "Counters" in the left menu of Yandex Metrika.

Scroll down the page to the "Additional settings" section.

In the additional settings block that appears, check the box next to "Informer" (Visible counter).

The informer will appear below, along with a "Customize" button next to it. Customize the informer to suit your website's design.

Click the "Save" button to save all Yandex Metrika settings.

Now scroll the screen to the "Counter code" area and copy the informer code from the block. The code is located between <!-- Yandex.Metrika informer --> and <!-- /Yandex.Metrika informer -->.
The code should look like this:
<!-- Yandex.Metrika informer -->
<a href="https://metrika.yandex.ru/stat/?id=00000000&from=informer" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">
<img src="https://informer.yandex.ru/informer/88141256/3_1_FFFFFFFF_EFEFEFFF_0_pageviews"
style="width:88px; height:31px; border:0;"
alt="Yandex.Metrika"
title="Yandex.Metrika: data for today (pageviews, visits, and unique visitors)"
class="ym-advanced-informer" data-cid="00000000" data-lang="en" />
</a>
<!-- /Yandex.Metrika informer -->
After copying the code, proceed to the next section of the instructions.
Creating a module on the website
In the Joomla administrator panel, go to the Module Manager.
Click the "New" button to open the module creation interface. In the window that opens, select the "Custom" (Custom HTML) module type. The page for adding an HTML module to your website will open. Fill in the "Title" field.
In the "Custom Output" (HTML code) field, paste the informer code from Yandex Metrika that you copied in the previous chapter.

If the field appears as a rich text editor, click on "Toggle Editor" or "Source Code" (usually represented by a < > icon or "Tools" -> "Source code") in the editor's toolbar.

A pop-up window with a text field will appear. Paste the informer code generated by Yandex Metrika into this field and click the "OK" button at the bottom right. The Yandex Metrika informer image will appear in the text editor.

On the right side of the module creation page, select the "Position" where the informer will be displayed on the site, and set the "Status" option to "Published". Next, switch to the "Menu Assignment" tab. In the "Module Assignment" field, select "On all pages". Finally, click the "Save & Close" button on the module creation page. The module will now display the visitor informer on your website.
Extension update error
If you encounter an error when updating an extension in the Joomla control panel, this section of the instructions is for you.
Error appears in several cases, all of which are related to the extension's license key.
1) You have not filled in the license key in the extension settings.
Go to the extension settings and check if the "License key" field is filled in. Without a license key, it is not possible to download updates. Sometimes, you may have added a license key, but the Joomla CMS did not save it correctly. In this case, in the extension settings, after entering the license key, click "Save" and then click "Save & Close".
2) Your license key has expired.
To check the expiration date of your license key, go to https://iws.by/en/my-account/view-license-keys. In the list of license keys, find the key for your extension and check its validity in the "Valid until" column. If the license key has expired, it is not possible to get updates. To resolve this issue, place a new order and obtain a current license key.
3) The license key is not valid on your current site.
Our update system is designed so that the first time you access the update server, the license key is assigned to the site that requested it. If you try to use the license key on multiple sites, updates will be available for only one site. If you need updates for multiple sites, purchase multiple license keys on our website. Sites without license keys will not be able to receive updates.
Attention! If you have changed your site's address and cannot download updates, write to us at support@iws.by with the new site address. We will update the data on our update server, and within 24 hours you will be able to receive updates.
