WhatsApp button for WordPress – plugin for CMS WordPress, which will add a floating WhatsApp button to the site, clicking on which will open a chat with the phone number specified in the administrative part of the messenger WhatsApp. The plugin is easy to use and does not require advanced knowledge in its installation and configuration, any knowledge of programming.
Button plugin supports two types: button and manager. Button – in this mode, the site will have a regular floating button, clicking on which will send the visitor to chat with the phone number specified in the plugin settings, in the messenger WhatsApp. Manager – this mode has two stages: a floating button will be placed on the site, clicking on which will open a pop-up window. The pop-up will display the manager information that is filled in the plugin settings and a welcome message. At the bottom of the pop-up window there is a button, which, when pressed, will send a chat with the phone number specified in the plugin settings via WhatsApp messenger.
The pop-up window in the «Manager» mode has many useful settings. You will be able to specify name and department, manager’s welcome message and upload a photo. The plugin has two ready-made popup designs: light and dark. If your site does not fit the ready-made designs, you can customize your own design to suit your site.
A wide list of available settings will allow you to customize the WhatsApp button as conveniently as possible for your website design. You will be able to set the button size, set the required phone number, specify the button color and icon color. For a convenient location you can set the location of the button: on the right or left, set indents from the borders of the visitor’s screen.
To attract visitor’s attention on the button, you can set a colored border and add animation. There are 4 animation options in the extension: 3 are applied to the button and one to the icon. The icon animation allows the icon to spin on its Y axis, and the animations allow the button to pulse, bounce or move left and right. For each animation, you can specify the time to play it in seconds. For the “Button pulses” animation type, you can specify the length of the pulsation. The “Button jumps” button type has a “Jump height” setting. For the “Button moves” button type, you can specify the maximum point of movement.

The plugin has two button options
There are two types of button display in the plugin. The first type is «Button». In this mode, the site will display a regular floating button, clicking on which the visitor will be redirected to the chat via WhatsApp messenger. The second type is «Manager». In this variant, a floating button will be displayed on the site, clicking on which will open a pop-up window with information about the manager and a button leading to a chat with the manager via WhatsApp messenger.
Two ready-made designs and the ability to customize your own
In the «Manager» mode there is a pop-up window. There are two ready-made color designs for the popup: light and dark. If these designs do not fit your site, you can use the options in the plugin to set up your own color variant of the popup. The color is specified for each element of the popup.
Wide list of available settings
A wide list of customization options is available in the extension. You will be able to customize button color, icon color, set button color border, dimensions, indents and add animation.
Attract attention with animation
Animations can be activated on WhatsApp button to attract visitor’s attention. There are 4 types of animations available in the extension: 3 for the button, 1 for the icon. The button can pulse, jump and move sideways, while the icon can spin on its Y-axis. There are additional settings for each animation type: duration, pulsation length, jump height and movement width.
Tracking Google Analytics events and Yandex Metrics goals
Google Analytics events and Yandex Metrics goals are integrated into the plugin to analyze the interaction with site visitors. Events are backlogged depending on the type of button. Button” type – event and goals are sent when a floating button is clicked. Type “Manager” – the first data is sent when clicking on the floating button, the second event after clicking on the button in the popup window.
