Instructions for the module «Video from Facebook Pro» for Joomla

First, get the module by clicking the button above «Get module», if the module has already been received, then proceed further.

Installation in CMS Joomla 3

Go to your site’s dashboard.

In the top menu, follow the path to the extension installation manager along the path «Extensions» – «Manage» – «Install»:

On the page that opens, press the green button and select the archive received on the IWS.BY website when ordering.

After successful installation, you will receive a notification about successful installation:

Including the module in CMS Joomla 3

To work, the module must be enabled.

Go to the CMS Joomla 3 module management manager along the «Extensions» – «Modules» path.

On the page that opens, in the search bar, enter the name of the module for quick search. Name «IWS.BY Video from Facebook Pro».

Only one module we need will remain in the list of modules. There will be a red cross next to the name, click on it to activate the module.

The red cross will change to a green check mark, the module has been successfully activated.

Including plugins in CMS Joomla 3

To work, you need to enable two plugins.

Go to Joomla 3 CMS Module Management Manager along the path «Extensions» – «Plugins».

On the page that opens, in the search bar, enter the name of the plugin for quick search. Name «Button – IWS.BY Video from Facebook Pro».

Only one plugin we need will remain in the list of plugins. There will be a red cross next to the name, click on it to activate the module.

The red cross will change to a green checkmark, the plugin has been successfully activated.

Now go to the plugins page and look for the second plugin we need to work.

On the page that opens, in the search bar, enter the name of the plugin for quick search. Name «Content – IWS.BY Video from Facebook Pro».

Only one plugin we need will remain in the list of plugins. There will be a red cross next to the name, click on it to activate the module.

The red cross will change to a green checkmark, the plugin has been successfully activated.

Setting up a module in Joomla 3

In the list of modules, click on the name of the module. The module configuration page will open. Let’s consider the required fields.

First field «License Key».

«License Key» field

It is necessary to fill in the license key received when registering and downloading the module from the IWS.BY website. The key must be filled in to receive regular module updates. Without this key, an error will be displayed when updating to a new version.

Field «Enable Facebook SDK»

The option is responsible for connecting the SDK of the social network Facebook to the site. Without this SDK, the video will not load on the site. If you already have an SDK connected, set the value to «No».

Field «Facebook SDK Language»

The option is responsible for the language of the connected SDK and the content in the video block. The language of the system records will depend on this option.

Field «Link to video»

The field where you need to enter a direct link to the video from the social network Facebook.

Field «Video width type»

The option is responsible for the width of the video block on the site page. Responsive – The video will be 100% of the width of the parent block. Fixed – The video width will be fixed, which is specified in the Video Width field in pixels.

Field «Video width»

Specifies the width of the video. Indicated by a number in pixels.

Field «Autoplay»

The option is responsible for automatic video playback immediately after the page is loaded.

Field «Lazy loading»

The option is responsible for loading the video only when it is in the visible part of the user’s screen. Activates lazyload technology for videos.

Field «Show signatures»

The option will allow displaying tips on the video in the computer version, if any.

Field «Show text»

This option will display the description text in the video block.

Now you need to adjust the display position of the widget in the right place.

Field «Status»

This field must be set to Published.

Field «Position»

In this option, you must select the position of the module in the template, where the community widget will be displayed.

Next, go to the «Menu Assignment» tab

A tab with one field will open «Module Assignment»

At this point, it is important to select a value, otherwise the module will not be displayed on the site pages. In our case, we chose the value «On all pages».

Configuring plugins in Joomla 3

In the list of plugins, click on the name of the plugin «Button – IWS.BY Video from Facebook Pro». The plugin settings page will open. Let’s consider the required fields.

The plugins are configured, you can start adding the widgets.

Adding video to JCE

The principle of adding a widget in the JCE Joomla editor is very simple.

Go to editing the desired page. A page with a text editor will open in front of you. The example uses TinyMCE.

On the icon panel, click on the button «Video from Facebook»

A pop-up window will open in which there is a field for entering a link to a video and specifying an option for a video.

1) Link to video:

The field is responsible for the direct link to the video on the Facebook social network, which must be displayed on the site.

2) Video width type:

The option allows you to select the width of the video «Automatic» – the width of the video block will have 100% of the width of the parent block. «Fixed» – the video width will be indicated by a number in pixels, in the «Video width» field.

3) Video width

The video width is specified as an integer number in pixels.

4) Autoplay

The option enables automatic video playback after full page loading on the visitor’s screen.

5) Lazy loading

The option connects a lazy loading system to the video. The video will be loaded by the user only when it is in the visible area on the visitor’s screen.

6) Show signatures

The option includes video captions, if any. Signatures are displayed only in the computer version of the site.

7) Show text

The option will display the description text in the video block, if available.

These are all the options available in the plugin. After filling in the field with the link and specifying the options for the video, click on the “Add video” button. Save the edited material. On the page of the site where the shortcode is added, instead of the shortcode text, a video from the social network Facebook will be displayed.
