Viber Button for Joomla 3 and Joomla 4
Module «Viber Button» for Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 designed to add a floating button, clicking on which will open a chat with the specified number via the Viber messenger.
To get started, get the module by clicking the button above «Get the module», if the module has already been received, then proceed further.
Installing the module in CMS Joomla 3
Go to your site’s dashboard.
In the top menu, follow the path to the extension installation manager along the path «Extensions» – «Extension manager» – «Installation»:
On the page that opens, press the green button and select the archive received on the IWS.BY website when ordering.
After successful installation, you will receive a notification about successful installation:
Including the module in CMS Joomla 3
To work, the module must be enabled.
Go to the CMS Joomla 3 module management manager along the «Extensions» – «Modules» path.
On the page that opens, in the search bar, enter the name of the module for a quick search. Name «IWS.BY Viber Button».
Only one module we need will remain in the list of modules. There will be a red cross next to the name, click on it to activate the module.
The red cross will change to a green check mark, the module has been successfully activated.
Setting up a module in Joomla 3
In the list of modules, click on the name of the module. The module configuration page will open. Let’s consider the required fields.
Field «License key».
It is necessary to fill in the license key received when registering and downloading the module from the IWS.BY website. The key must be filled in to receive regular module updates. Without this key, an error will be displayed when updating to a new version.
Field «Phone number»
In this field, you must enter your phone number in Viber in international format without the + sign and other various symbols.
Option «Opening a link»
The option is responsible for the type of link opening in the visitor’s browser after clicking on the icon.
Option «Background color»
The option is responsible for the background color of the button. The color code is specified in HEX format.
Option «Icon color»
The option is responsible for the color of the icon on the Viber button. The color code is specified in HEX format.
Option «Button position»
The option is responsible for the position of the button in the visitor’s browser window. Indicated relative to the screen. Can be installed on the right or left.
Field «Right indent»
The field is responsible for the indent to the right of the edge of the screen to the Viber button. Indicated by a number in pixels.
Field «Left indent»
The field is responsible for the indentation to the left of the edge of the screen to the Viber button. Indicated by a number in pixels.
Field «Bottom indent»
The field is responsible for the indent from the bottom of the screen edge to the Viber button. Indicated by a number in pixels.
Field «Layer level»
The field is responsible for the level of the layer on which the Viber button is located. The equivalent of this option in CSS: z-index.
Now you need to adjust the display position of the module in the right place.
This field must be set to Published.
In this option, you must select the position of the module in the template where the Viber button will be displayed.
It is recommended to select the debug position in your template, as the Viber button will be fixed relative to the user’s screen.
Next, go to the «Binding to Menu Items» tab.

At this point, it is important to select a value, otherwise the module will not be displayed on the site pages. In our case, we chose the value «On all pages».
These are all the fields and options, by filling in which on the site you will see the Viber button.
